Paul Gray CB was the Executive Chairman of HM Revenue and Customs until November 2007 and has worked in many roles in government, including as a Managing Director at the Department of Work and Pensions and Director General of Budget and Public Finances at HM Treasury.

He is a member of the Council of Essex University and Chair of Governors at Newport Free Grammar School.
